Dear Candis,
You know how mommy always say that you should give people their flowers while they are alive. Well today, I would like to give you some flowers. I don't think that there is anything unsaid between us. I believe that you know exactly how I feel about you. And I believe that I know exactly how you feel about me.
However there are some things that I would like to say to you publicly. You are the most kind, the most selfless, the most caring person that I know. You give of yourself so freely. I know that I can always count on you. And you deserve the best of everything this life has to offer.
I know that you are my little sister but I look up to you in so many ways. You are the first person I think of when anything happens in my life. Good, bad or indifferent, I know that I can count on you for good sound advice. And if I need anything, I don't even question the fact that you will always be there for me.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, for everything you did for me today. I showed up to your door and immediately your thoughts switched to what you could do for me. Today you were my make up artist, my videographer, my coach and as always my number one fan. I love you sis and I appreciate you. You are one of a kind and I thank God for you all the time.
In all the years of our life, there has only been one brief period when I felt that we were disconnected. And it still pains me today that you needed me and I was not there for you. With tears in my eyes, I can promise you that, if God willing, that will never happen again.
For anyone else, that may be reading this, tell someone you love them today. And if you appreciate them let them know. It just may make someone's day a little brighter. Tomorrow is not promised to any of us.
