Know He'll Answer

There is a song that I love. I am sure that you all are familiar with it. It is called, Silver and Gold by Kirk Franklin. In this song, the singer talks about how she'd rather have Jesus than silver and gold. That by itself touches my soul because I feel the same way. There is nothing more precious to me than my relationship with God.

But recently, as I listen to this song, there is a different part that speaks to me just a little louder than it did before. The singer speaks to knowing that He will answer, with certainty. I believe that this is something that the world as a whole doesn't really appreciate. I believe that most of us have one part down pact, the praying part. But we are missing the rest, the waiting for Him to respond.

I say this for many reasons but the main reason is that we are all busy. Just with the hustle and bustle of living our daily lives. We are used to getting everything we want instantly. There is not much that we have to wait for in todays society. The world is geared towards giving you faster service, faster response, quick replies. Whoever can do it the faster wins. And in that we loose patience.

When it comes to God he is not like Google. There can be but most of the time his response is not immediate. We often pray about something, then get up and continue to do what we feel, we need to do about that situation. Is it because we don't think he will answer? We often have faith to pray on a situation but do we have the faith to wait for His answer. His response.

I think the world needs more trust in Him. If you just wait and KNOW that he will answer. He will surprise you. He surprises me all the time. It takes real faith, real trust and real patience. Try Him for yourself, it's not hard. Give it to Him and KNOW that he WILL answer.

John 5:14-15 14And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Isaiah 65:24 - And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

Hebrews 11:6 - But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Matthew 21:21 - Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this [which is done] to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

Micah 7:7 - Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.
