Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all mother's everywhere. Especially my mother, Sharone Pace. I am so thankful to God that I still have her in my life, There is something special about a mother's love. She loves you because you are hers, just because you are a part of her. She loves you so much that she would risk her life to protect you. It's a very powerful love that creates a strong bond.

We realize this but sometimes we take it for granted. We take it for granted because we think that she just has to love us. That there is no other option. But there is always another option. Yet and still she chooses to love us even when we are disobedient, disrespectful and rebellious. When we don't take her advice, when we don't love ourselves even when we do things that don't make her proud. Yeah there is something really special about a mother's love.

As an adult now and a mother myself I find that I appreciate my mother even more. I understand life a little better now. Life does not come with a manual. Nobody is perfect, we all make mistakes. For me everything was not picture perfect growing up but I know my mom always did the best she could. Making sure we had everything we needed and we always knew that we were loved.

So on this day, Mother's Day make sure your mother knows that she is loved. That you appreciate her for all she has done. Let her know what she means to you. As my mom would say, give her her flowers while she is alive. Don't take her for granted, she may not always be there.

1 Corinthians 13: 4-7

4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud

5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.

6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.

7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

Ephesians 6:1-3

1Children, obey your parents in the LORD: for this is right. 2Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) 3That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

Proverbs 23:25

Thy father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bare thee shall rejoice.
