The word 'until' means up to a point in time, up to the event mentioned or up to you achieve your goal. To do something until means that you will not give up. That you will not stop before you get to the expected result. That you will not let anything interfere with you completing your task. That nothing short of your goal will due.
Think about this, when you misplace your cell phone, how long do you search for it? Until you find it. When you are looking for a job, when do you stop? You don't, until you find one. When your pet is missing, how long do you look for them? Until they are found. And when a family member goes away, how long do you wait for them? Until they return. These are all tasks we assign ourselves to do unto completion. Until we received our desired result.
This is the attitude we should adapt towards God. We need to seek Him until we find Him. We need to pray until we get an answer. We need to keep asking until we receive a breakthrough. We need to keep going, keep searching, keep knocking until... until He calls you home.
The Bibles says:
Matthew 7:7-8Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
You have to have faith and believe. Trust God to keep His word. And don't stop. Seek Him until...
Deuteronomy 4:29-31But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul. 30When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice; 31(For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.
Proverbs 8:17I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
Hebrews 11:6But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
1 Chronicles 16:11Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.
