Trust God

When you trust something you have confidence in it. You believe that it will do exactly what it is purposed to do. If you have trust in a person, you take their word for who they are and what they say they will do. We even take other peoples word when we are deciding to try something new... like new services, places we haven't visited or even foods we haven't tried.

We put trust in everything around us, often without even thinking about it. We trust that the lights will come on when we hit the switch. We trust that our cars will start up every morning. We trust the labels on food products to tell us exactly what in their containers. When even trust the strength of the furniture we sit on to support our weight. And many of us put too much trust into the people around us.

We trust all these things, even though some of these things have failed us. People may not do what you expect them to do. Your car may not start up every morning as expected. That delicious recipe you tried may not be any good at all. And that person you trusted just may break your heart one day.

All that may sound a little disappointing but there is someone and something that you can trust wholeheartedly, God. You can trust that He is exactly who the Bible says that He is. You can trust that He will do everything that He says He will do. All you have to do is have faith and believe in Him. Put your confidence in Him. You can rely on Him and He will not fail you.

I am asking everyone to trust God more. It will strengthen your faith and allow Him more access to your life. No matter where we are in life, there is always room for growth. More knowledge, more wisdom and generally more of God. The life of a Christian is a daily walk of constant growth in the Lord. None of us are perfect but we are all trying to be better.

It's really not difficult at all. Read His world and take it to heart. Trust Him more than you trust the things around you. Remember God created everything for a purpose, including you. Seek His truth and trust Him to reveal it to you.

Psalm 20:7 7Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

Psalm 9:10 10And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

Matthew 7:7 7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Proverbs 3:5 5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Joshua 1:9 9Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest
