The Bible is a book of sacred scriptures. Scriptures that are meant to give you an ancient account of Christianity. It gives the history of life, humanity and expresses the love of between The Creator, God and His creation, us. It is full of testimonies of Christians and their journey to find and live out, The Creator's plan and purpose for our lives.
The Bible is all that and so much more. It is the inspired word of God. As you read it, the words become alive and speak directly to you. The words are layered in revelation depending on where you are in your life. I've read it over and over and I still get new understanding each time.
It's amazing how personal God's word becomes as you read it. God's word is a revealer into each of our lives. It speaks to each of us individually, giving us perfect understanding and truth. Allowing us to grow closer to God and deeper in our relationship with Him.
The Bible will actually change your life. It will help you to see what things you may need to change in your life. It will cause you to look at the world around you with different eyes. The Bible is like a mirror, it will cause you to look at yourself deeply. And that self reflection will cause you to be more aware of your thoughts, your speech and the things you do. Literally changing you into a better version of yourself. Bit by bit, so gradually that you may not even notice. When I stop and look back, I am still amazed at my own transformation.
The world doesn't always teach us correctly. And it definitely doesn't tell us the truth of the things that we really need to know. Once I began reading the Bible, I found that even some of the things I was taught in church were not true. That's why it is so important to read God's word for yourself. So that you know without a shadow of doubt if you are being taught the truth or being lead astray.
Yes, the Bible is a big book but it is a small task for a lifetime. It took me nine months the first time I read it. And I haven't been able to put it down. I even suggest that those who don't believe read it too, so that you can be educated thoroughly on their position.
The Bible is no ordinary book. The power within it's pages can only be experienced by reading it yourself. Start reading yours today.
