Am I Right? Am I Wrong? Am I Sure?

Questions, we all have them. They are a natural part of the decision making process. It is healthy to question yourself because none of us are right all the time. No matter how much we want to believe that we are. So if you do not question yourself or check your motivation, at least occasionally, maybe you should.

Especially when it come to your walk with God. Some of us seem to have a concrete knowledge of God. They are well read, well spoken and educated. But even those people should question themselves because none of us knows it all. There is always new insight and revelation to be found. We can always go a little deeper in things of the Lord.

So much of this journey is based on your personal feelings and your understanding at the time. What you feel led to do and how you interpret what God is saying to you also plays a part. We cannot leave out the human part of this relationship. We are fallible. We can misunderstand, we can think we already know, we can be stubborn, we can get it wrong. Which means that we can be led astray. That is why we need to question ourselves.

Don't forget the enemy is constantly at work trying to make sure that we mess up. His whole job is to deceive us. He is good at what he does and he's been doing it for a long time. But we don't have to worry about him because we have weapons. Weapons that he cannot mess with.

If you are are born again believer you have an arsenal. In your arsenal you have the power of the Holy Spirit, prayer and the word of God. These three things makes the enemies job nearly impossible. The Holy Spirit alone comes with gifts like discernment, understanding, knowledge and more. Which makes your decision making process much easier. That is why we must confer with God on every decision. We were never meant to go through his life alone. Actually we cannot do it by ourselves. We need Him, every step of the way.

It's okay to question your self because we do not want to fall off of God's straight and narrow pathway. We just have to use the tools that God has given us. Be patient in the decision making process. And if you don't receive the direction that you are looking for remind yourself of God's word. Remind yourself of what God has already told you. And stay in alignment with those things. And trust God to let you know when your course needs adjusting.

James 1:5-6 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

Jeremiah 17:9-10The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? 10I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

Colossians 3:23And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the LORD, and not unto men;

2 Tmothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Job 13:23 23How many are mine iniquities and sins? make me to know my transgression and my sin.
