What Does The Enemy Say About You?

I believe that the enemy is conspiring against us everyday. Thinking of ways to trick us and cause us to stumble. Devising ways to kill our dreams, steal our hope and destroy our lives. That is his job, his only reason for being...to keep us off track. To lead us away from the straight and narrow path. That is his purpose and he is really good at it.

This world is his playground. He is everywhere and in almost everything. We have to be mindful in everything that we do and alert to the traps that he sets along the way. I believe that many of the temptations we face come from him. The urges to cheat, lie, steal and all the temptations of the world are all tactics of his to lead us astray.

Anything that takes our focus off God is a win for him. If he can just keep us distracted long enough with things of this world, we will miss out on all the things of God. Our purpose, the miracles, signs, wonders of God and the life that He created us to live. All the enemy needs to do is keep us from the real truth of God. He has so many ways to do just that.

Don't be deceived by the enemy. He is smart and cunning and he has been doing the same job for thousands of years and he has mastered it. But remember he is a defeated foe and he has no power over you. His biggest trick is making you believe that he does. The only power he has, is the power you give him, so do not give him any.

I imagine that before we wake up each day, the enemy has a plan. A plan to distract us and separate us from God. So if he has a plan don't you think we should too. My daily plan includes reading God's word, making time to pray and lot's of praise and worship. The key to not being distracted is purposely staying focused. Focus on God and the things that He would have you to do throughout your day.

Think about this, when you wake up for the day what is the enemy thinking or saying about you? Is he smiling, saying oh yeah watch this? Does he know his plan will work? Will it be easy for him to trip you up? Or is he upset at the challenge? Wishing you would give up already? Hoping that his next trick will weaken you enough so that he can get in? Will he have to work hard just to tempt you or does he know that his plans will not succeed at all?

There is a war going on, a real battle between God and Satan for our souls. Don't let the enemy win yours.

John 10:10 10The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

1 Peter 5:8 8Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Revelation 12:9-12 9And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. 12Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
