The Invisible War

There is a war going on. It is all around each and every one of us. It affects our daily lives. It is a war of good vs evil, right vs wrong, God vs the enemy but many of us can't see it.

There are forces around us that influence our thoughts and feelings which in turn affect our actions. Has your mood ever changed upon entering a room? or being around a specific person? Have you ever been somewhere and just felt something wasn't right? Have you ever changed your mind about something and been unsure why but knew it was what you needed to do? Have you ever felt led or guided to another person? The list goes on and on. And these things happen to all of us. We can't see these things but when we pay attention we can sense them.

If you are walking through the world with only your natural senses, you are going to miss out on so much. Many people live life forgetting that we are spiritual beings. We are spiritual beings in physical bodies. In order to see what's going on around us we have to strengthen our spiritual senses.

This is where prayer and discernment come in. We have to ask God to help us. To increase our spiritual senses. To open our eyes and ears. To increase our discernment. So that we can sense when God is leading us and when something is trying to pull us away or distract us. This is available to all of us. And like everything else the more you use it the stronger it will become.

I've learned to trust my spiritual senses more that what I see or hear around me. If we could see what was going on around us, the job of the enemy would be impossible. Think about it, if you could see horrific darkness on one side and beautiful light on the other, which path would you take? That's why we have to let our spiritual senses guide us.

The invisible war is real. If you don't believe it, turn on your TV, listen to the radio, watch the news. The intensity of the enemies attacks are increasing and it is affecting more and more people. It's easy to see if your spiritual eyes and ears are open.

Remember we should not be fighting each other, we are fighting the thing that is influencing and controlling those who cannot see spiritually. And how do we participate in this war, by putting on the full armour of God (below: truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, word of God and prayer).

We are in the midst of a battle for our souls. This is no joke and now is not the time to play. Please take your salvation seriously.

KJV Ephesians 6:11-18

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
