Good morning everyone. Well today is the day, the day that I will be ordained into the Kingdom of God, as a minister. Many of you already know that I was licensed earlier this year. That was when I received my paperwork, my certificate that stated I was a minister. However, nothing has changed but today's ceremony will be more spiritual, I consider it as me making my commitment before God.
I want to explain what I mean by, 'Kingdom of God'. I am not being ordained into a religion or into a church. The Kingdom of God is bigger than that. As a minister I am charged to continue the work of Jesus Christ, to spread the gospel. I always say that my goal is to encourage, motivate and inspire people towards Christ.
Yes, I do this work within the church but I also do this outside of the four walls of the church. That is where the kingdom mindset kicks in, spreading the Gospel to the world. Working with other churches, working in our communities and reaching the people around us. Christ was not confined by the four walls of the church and I will not be either.
So, as a part of my ordination today I will be ordained into a specific part of the ministry. I will be ordained into the Five Fold Ministry as a Teacher. The Five Fold Ministry is a kingdom building preference based on Ephesians 4: 11-16 (I will include below). This preface states that there should be five types of leaders within the church to help in its growth. To put is simply it's all about being effective at growing the church.
Anyone that knows me, will not be surprised that I will be a Teacher. I have always been a teacher. In my earliest memories from my childhood, I was always gathering my siblings to play school and of course I had to be the teacher. I was always helping them with their homework, showing them how to do things. I was studious, loved reading and always did well in school. These things have always been a part of my nature.
Even now with my books and blogs, I continue to share the information that I've learned. My goal is to reach people like me. When it came to God, I feel like I didn't fully understand the things I was told. So I want to break things down and be very specific so that I can reach people. I want everyone to understand exactly who God is and what He wants to do for us all.
So, again today is the day that I continue this journey, into the next level of what God is doing in my life. Please continue to pray for me, that I am able to remain strong and complete whatever task the Lord sets before me. This is a path that I never saw for myself. I am still shocked that I am here myself but I trust God and I am letting Him lead the way. Thank you Lord for seeing this in me. And I thank you guys for reading and supporting me on this journey.
