A Father is defined as a male parent of a child. A man who has impregnated a woman. Or in some cases the man of the house who married a woman with a child. A father's role is to enforce rules. to provide for and to protect his family. To provide stability to the family unit. To teach his girls how a man should treat them and to show his boys how they should treat a woman.
A father is important. His contribution to the family is not just financial. It is emotionally, physically and mentally important to the health of the family. And no matter how strong the mother is, the family is incomplete without him. That's just how God purposed the family to be, and it works best as a complete unit.
There are many types of fathers. There are the spiritual fathers that we adopt in church that help us grow. There are step-fathers who walk into the position after it was left vacant. Then there are the fathers that we adopt into our lives that help us, counsel us and encourage us to be our best.
Billions of people on this planet and we all have or have had fathers in our lives. Some good and some bad. But what if I told you that as human beings, we all have the same father. A father who loves each one of us immensely and the same. That father is God.
He trumps every other father in life because He loves us unconditionally. He has plans and a purpose for each of our lives. He is faithful to His word. He wants to bless us and help us, all we have to do is ask. He is a good, good father and that will never change.
You know how in life, the children of celebrities, actors and athletes receive fame, clout and recognition just because of who their father is. They get special treatment. The media follows them around. People know who they are just because of their connection to their father. Well I believe that those of us who know who our father is should be treated in the same way.
My Father is the Great I Am, the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. My father created everything that there is to see and the things that we cannot see. My father omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent. My father created me for His glory and there isn't anything anyone can do about it.
And because I know who He is, I can tell you who I am. I am His daughter, a child of the most high God. And no matter what the enemy does to do to me, that will never change. I have purpose and access to all my father has. Don't try me, don't test me and don't make me call on my father.
I can talk all day and never really describe Him fully. A lot of us don't act like we know who our father is. And if you don't know, I suggest that you start getting to know Him today. So that you can access all that He has for you. So that you can walk through this life, storms and all with your head held high.
Do you know who your father really is? If so, act like it, walk like it and talk like it. Share His goodness with the world. He deserves it.
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
