May God Be Glorified Through Me

What does it mean to be glorified? The word glorified means to appear more elevated or special, to be made glorious. To be worthy of recognition, admiration or fame. When it comes to God, there is nothing and no one that compares to Him. He is the Creator, the reason for it all and He deserves to be glorified above everything else.

As a believer and follower of God's word, my hope is to live a life that communicates my connection to Him. In everything I do, I want to represent Him. Not so that I get any recognition because it is not about me at all. I just want someone to see something about me that makes them think about Him, turn to Him or even seek to be closer to Him.

For me, this means that I have to be mindful of the things I say and do. For some this may sound hard but it is not. I still live my life, I work, I have a family and make time to have fun, but God is never far from my thoughts. I am always listening, waiting and hoping to be lead in the right direction.

I goal is to motivate others towards Him. But what motivates me most is when someone greets me as a Woman of God. It always causes me to pause for a moment. But it also confirms that my hopes and goals are being accomplished. That God is somehow represented in me. That by itself humbles me and is enough to make me cry. Not anything sad or dreary, but a good, overwhelming, thank you Lord cry.

God is so good, so great and so mighty. Doesn't He deserve to be glorified in your life?

Colossians 3:1717And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the LORD Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Deuteronomy 6:55And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

1 Corinthians 10:31 31Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

1 Corinthians 6:2020For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

1 Samuel 2:3030Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.
