Just Walk

Being a Christian, a believer in the word of God and living the life that we live is not easy but it is very rewarding. I say that it is not easy because you go through a lot of changes. We are not the people that we used to be and that is not always an easy thing for the people around us to accept. For me, my life has been one of constant growth and renewal, I often feel like I am evolving into the person that God intends me to be.

For me the rewards of this journey are growing closer to God, becoming and discovering the new person that I am now. I have more confidence, where before I was shy and even meek. I have a strong awareness of who God is and who I am in Him. And through that awareness I have power that I know only comes from Him. It' is mind blowing just thinking about it.

The key to this life is to keep waking. Never stop seeking God. Stay in His word. Stay in prayer. Investigate and explore God, chase Him, persue Him. Don't stop until He responds and even then keep going. You are building a healthy relationship, just like a marriage and if you want it to last, your work is never really done.

As you grow closer to God, your faith will grow. You will grow in knowledge, in wisdom and all things of the spirit. The gifts of the spirit as well as the fruits of the spirit. Your walk will prove the Bible true. But you have to realize that there is more to God, than going through the motions and being a good person.

Today, I want to encourage everyone, no matter who you are or where you are on this path to keep walking. Keep seeking more of God. Keep going. Keep growing in Christ. I believe that this is a journey, not a race. There is no finish line, at least not while we are here on Earth.

So keep putting one foot in front of the other, your next miracle or blessing could just be a few steps away...keep walking.

1 John 2:3-6 3We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. 4Whoever says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. 5But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: 6Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.

Colossians 2:6 6As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the LORD, so walk ye in him:

1 Peter 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

Psalm 1:1 1Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Matthew 7:14 14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
