No More Time For Excuses (No more lukewarm)

I usually try to give a message that is upbeat and positive. Something that will encourage believers and motivate their relationship with Christ. My message today will hopefully be just as encouraging. But I am feeling more of an urgency to share this with you today.

There are many of us who believe in God, the bible and Jesus Christ. That try to live lives that reflect our beliefs. Lives that exhibit who He is and how much He loves us. There are also those of us who do not believe. Who live their lives how they see fit, of their own will and power. God gives us the choice to live for Him or not. He will not force you, it is your decision.

Today I have a message for the lukewarm believers. Those who probably attend church but haven't fully picked a side. One foot in the church and one foot in the world. You may even be a good person but still living in sin. The bible says in Revelation 3:16, "So, because you are lukewarm-neither hot nor cold-I am about to spit you out of my mouth". No one wants to hear those words in your final day of judgement.

The time is short. We are living in the last and evil days.

2 Timothy 3:1-7 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God- having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth.

The verses above speak of this time that we are living in now. This world is upside down, right is wrong and wrong is right. The bible is the truth and if you haven't already, you need to let Jesus into you life, heart, mind and soul completely. Just going through the motions isn't enough. Just being a good person isn't enough.

Don't be fooled by thoughts of, 'well I 'm not where I used to be,' but you are still living in sin. Or 'he's working on me', but you have not let go of your sinful ways. I have even heard people use the bible as an excuse, ' don't judge me'. Yes, the bible says that but it also says to correct your brother. Don't use any excuse to stay where you are. There is no more time for excuses, now is the time for action.

All sin separates us from Christ. None of us are perfect. Give your trials, problems and concerns to Him. We were never meant to fight this battle alone. Give your life to Him and let Him handle the rest. Don't wait try God wholeheartedly today. #nomorelukewarm

1 Timothy 5:20 20But those elders who are sinning you are to reprove before everyone, so that the others may take warning.

Matthew 18:15-17 15"If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. 16But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that 'every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.' 17If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 16All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Luke 17:3 3So watch yourselves. "If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them.
