Encouraging others, encourages me

The journey of this past year has been amazing. I have been able to share my testimony with all kinds of people. Which is a testimony within itself because most of my life I have struggled with anxiety. It was hard enough for me to talk to people that I knew, let alone people that I did not know. So now, being able to travel and share my most personal experiences, has changed who I always thought I was.

I always felt alone and I never thought I had anything worth sharing. But God changed all that. He created a fire in me to share about His goodness and how He has changed my life. He gave my life purpose. I love talking about the Lord, it is the thing that I am most passionate about. I would always ask Him to give me an opportunity to talk about Him as I visited friends and family. Just a small window, a brief moment where I could share about how great he really is. He always made it possible for me to do just that. He made it easy and most times I did not even have to start the conversation.

It is almost funny to me now, so I want to remind you to be mindful of what you ask God for. His thoughts are so much bigger than our own. My prayer was just to be able to talk about Him. Never would I have imagined that He would have me to write a book and to be able to go around to different places speaking to people about Him. This is more than a dream come true and it is all because of Him.

My personal goal through this process is to encourage, to motivate and inspire everyone to seek a deep personal relationship with God. No matter where you stand with Him there is always room for growth. I just want everyone to get to know Him for themselves and to encounter Him as I have. God is good, He is amazing, wondrous and so much more.

Despite the relationship that I have with Him, there are still days where I may feel discouraged, disappointed or unsure. Sometimes it's the enemy and sometimes it's just life. Things don't always work out the way we want them to. People are not always supportive. Sometimes I feel like I need to be doing more and I don't know what that more is. But in those moments, God will show up through someone else. In an email, an inbox, a text message or a phone call. Exactly when I need it most.

For example, yesterday I received an inbox from a young lady who had just finished my book. She had had many similar experiences. But she told me that my book had encouraged her and that it was a blessing to her. Among other things that she feels connected to me on a spiritual level.

What she didn't know was that her words would bless and encouraged me because God is still using my testimony, what He has done for me to encourage, motivate and inspire somebody else. This stimulated me to stay on the path and to remain steadfast and encouraged. It's kind of like what goes around comes back around, karma, you reap what you sow. What you put out into the world comes back to you, right when you need it most. Thank you Lord

Matthew 7:12 12Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

Galatians 6:7 7Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Matthew 7:12 12Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

Isaiah 55:6 6Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near.
