Challenge, Who is God...

God is the creator of our life, this world and everything around us. He is everything and endless in His abilities. He is all powerful, omniscient and omnipresent. He is the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. We says these things and have heard this our whole lives but what does it really mean?

I don't think that 'we' could ever really know or even understand who God really is. God is big, bigger than our minds can imagine. As human beings we are so self centered that we think that God is all about us. I believe that He is more than His connection to us. I believe that He is everything. Even the things that we have no knowledge of and haven't discovered yet.

The bible says that God is not like us in His thoughts and ways. It uses words like omnipotent, sovereign and almighty. I want to break these words down so that we can think on exactly what this all means. Omnipotent means to have unlimited power, being able to do anything. He can do anything. Sovereign means that He is a supreme ruler and possesses absolute power. There is no one above Him. And Almighty means that He is very great, enormous, supreme. He has complete power.

We all says that we know precisely who He is. But there are many of us who say this but continue doing what we want to do. Many of us still live lives in sin without even a thought of Him. We say that He is everywhere and sees everything. We know that we cannot hide anything from Him but we don't change our lives. How much do we really believe? How much faith do we really have when we live our lives as we see fit? Do we really believe when we live lives that go against His will?

Our faith should be seen in every aspect of our lives. We have access to this almighty and all powerful God. A God that can do anything. But we stay wrapped up in the concerns of this world. I want to challenge you to tap into this power that is all around us. He is our power and our strength. He is not hiding. Talk to Him, ask Him for what you need. Let Him prove Himself to you. Believe that He is exactly who we say He is. The bible says that we have not, because we ask not, so ask. Do you want a closer walk with Him? You want to know who He is for yourself? You want Him to show you, who you really are?

Believe, maintain your faith, read His word and pray. Talk to Him about it, often. Try Him, ask Him today. Anyone can tell you who God is, but this is really something that you really need to KNOW for yourself.

Revelation 1:8 8I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the LORD, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Matthew 19:26 26But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Luke 1:37 37For with God nothing shall be impossible.

(Numbers 23:19 NIV) God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

(Deuteronomy 10:17 NIV) For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes.

(Deuteronomy 3:24 NIV) “O Sovereign LORD, you have begun to show to your servant your greatness and your strong hand. For what god is there in heaven or on earth who can do the deeds and mighty works you do?

(Deuteronomy 4:31 NIV) For the LORD your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your forefathers, which he confirmed to them by oath.
